Wayne Henry Johnson passed away at the age of 61, peacefully at his home, on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

He was born on April 18, 1964, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. Wayne met the love of his life, Denise, and they were married on September 12, 2002.

Wayne lived a full life of laughter, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys. Wayne was known for his infectious belly laugh that could fill a room and lift the spirits of all who heard it. He had a passion for hunting, his family, and farming. Wayne also loved exploring the countryside, always choosing the scenic route rather than the highway. Nothing was better than relaxing with a cold beer, sharing stories, and letting out that unforgettable laugh. Wayne’s love for life, the outdoors, and big bear hugs will be missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the echoes of his laughter and the stories he shared around campfires. Wayne had the biggest heart, and loved his family more than anything.

Wayne is survived by his wife Denise, mother Nancy Johnson, kids: Steven (Erica) Daniels, Bryan Daniels, Tiffany (Matt) Anderson, grandkids: Alexander (Grace) Daniels, Brynn (Kyle) Daniels, Makhia Richter, Dawson Daniels, Landon Richter, Aries and Vincent Anderson, ZaDaria Daniels, siblings: Van (Cari) Johnson, Lynette (Kevin) Hellman, Jackie Johnson, Connie Rennock, Bobbi Lucas, and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father Wayne, Don and Maryellen Harper, and Marsha Lawson.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3pm, at Wolf Point Bar and Grill.
